Computer graphics and open source pioneer, Ton Roosendaal, received an honorary doctorate from Leeds Met as part of our summer promotion ceremonies. Sound has been involved with computer graphics since the late eighties and it is good for creating open source project at Blender and pioneering new models for content creation, open-known animation and games. He received an honorary doctorate in Engineering from the Faculty of the University of Business & graduation in law. Innovation NorthAssociate Dean Dr. Nick Cope presents Mr. Roosendaal and gave a brief history of his conquests. He also described his next challenge: a short film about eight months, made with eight people. Dr. Cope praised Blender, saying he had "vast resources of learning," adding that fascilitating a "world-class creative tools new creative endeavor has been." Mr. Roosendaal said, as his award, "Thank you very much for this incredible honor gained."
